ICSE CURRICULUM

True to its motto Sa Vidya Vimuktaye, South City International School believes in education liberating the mind. The emphasis is on cross-curricular study, creativity, instilling a spirit of curiosity and questioning, developing social skills and fostering natural growth and development of a healthy mind in a healthy body.
In the true spirit of internationalism, South City International School offers along with Hindi and Bengali, French as a Second language in ICSE. French and even Mandarin are offered to students as a Third language from Class 3.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by South City International School and Alliance Francaise du Bengale on 13 April, 2021 for the implementation and the initiation of the DELF courses and the examinations at South City International School, Kolkata.

DELF, a Diploma in the French Language is a certification of French-language abilities for non-native speakers of French is administrated by the International Center for French Studies (Centre international d’etudes pedagogiques or CIEP) for France’s Ministry of Education. The course at school would help the students in a successful career ahead.

The British Council in December 2018, agreed to impart English Language training and testing of courses offered by them at the premises of South City International School almost all seven days of the week irrespective of holidays and vacations. A Team of Education Providers was involved in this process also included in the training programmes, Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff of the School.

The curriculum in South City International School across levels has been designed embracing the guidelines of the National Education Policy 2020 and the structured curriculum by the CISCE at the Board level examinations. South City International School believes in the freedom of choice and allows students to drop Mathematics and Science after Class VIII.
